About Sarah's Cake's
Well I really don't know where to start. I love to feed people. I started my apprenticeship when I left school but soon decided split shifts, late nights and weekends were not for me. I ended up owning a dating agency for nearly 20 years but my passion and love of food never left me.
I came across an article about a baker that was making cakes for her local foster children. I reached out to our local Anglicare Foster Care agency and soon started baking for over 50 children a year! I know, it seem a lot. But really its only one cake a week.
It was soon friend's and family started to tell me I really should sell my cakes on the side. It was the middle of Covid and I didn't have anything to loose. My Dating business was very very quiet. It was then Sarah's Cakes was born.
Soon I was doing up to 15 cakes a week. I still have a few quiet weeks now and then ( I like that) As you can see with all the categories I get a little bored and tend to do a few other fun things. I'm defiantly a jack of all trade and master of none.
I am originally from Deniliquin but moved to Albury to marry my magnificent husband Brad. We have 2 Children and a small farm just out of town where we attempt to live sustainably.
At the end of the day I like to make people happy, and making cakes for special occasions is just another way to help people smile.
People come from all over the countryside to collect custom cakes. I have customers in Wagga, Mulwala, Yarrawonga, Albury Wodonga, Holbrook, Culcairn, Corryong, Beechworth, Jindera Tallangatta. I must admit I'm a bit chuffed people are so happy to travel such a long way to pick up my cakes.
